Meet Abby Akinterinwa, DNP, PMHNP-BC

Abby Akinterinwa is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who joined Phoenix Mental Health in June 2025. She accepts most major insurance plans and is currently welcoming new patients for medication management through telepsychiatry. She holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Regis College in Weston, MA, a Master’s Degree in Nursing from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, a Master’s degree in International Business Management from the University of Surrey in Guildford, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ibadan in Nigeria.

Before joining us, she gained over six years of experience across a wide range of healthcare settings, including psychiatry, acute care, home health, and post-hospital care settings like Long Term Acute Care and Skilled Nursing Facility. She is dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to individuals from diverse cultural and social backgrounds. Her clinical expertise includes comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapeutic interventions for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, with an emphasis on collaborative and personalized care.
